David M. Marple, 74, of Sutton, WV passed away on January 29, 2023. He was born on September 1, 1948 to parents Howard and Betty Lou Hoard Marple.

David was retired from Hi-Way Paving, Inc. as a construction worker. He served in the ARMY and was in the Vietnam War. David was a Christian by faith, a charter member of Moose Lodge #825 and a member of the Flatwoods Heaters Lion Club. He loved to go hunting, watch sports on TV and spend time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Garry Marple.

He is survived by his wife Sue Marple; son, JD Marple (Gena); daughter, Kelly Morrison (Scott); sisters, Karen Metz and Debbie Keaton; grandchildren, Reagan (Tanner), Rory, Grady, Zac and Kylie.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens, Heaters, WV with Pastor Ryan Skidmore officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
