Clyde K. “Woody” Wooddell, age 84 of Corydon, Indiana left this earth on March 12, 2023. Woody was born on August 19th 1939 in Sutton West Virginia. After attending Sutton High School, where he met his future wife, Charlotte (Jordan), Woody enlisted in the Coast Guard. He had a long and distinguished career which included service with Coast Guard Squadron One in Vietnam; Officer in Charge-Station Miami Beach and Station Galveston. He retired a Master Chief Boatswain Mate. Woody and Charlotte retired in Corydon Indiana where he spent the remainder of his days.

Woody was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; his parents, Wayne and Pauline (Facemire); and his sister Patricia (Patsy).

He is survived by his children Marcia Bader of Parker, Co. (husband, Jerry and their children Sean, Samantha, and Andy); Michael Wooddell of Corydon, In. (wife, Wanda and son, Zachary); Daniella Wooddell of Miami, Florida; Angela Hartsfield of Morris, Ga. (husband, Dennis and their children Andrew and Ashley); and Christopher Wooddell of Corydon, In.(wife Jennifer).

He is also survived by his sister Nancy Conner of South Hill, Va. (husband, Paul and their daughter Peggy).

Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Stockert Funeral Home & Cremation, Flatwoods, WV. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11:00-1:00. Final resting place will be at Morrison Ridge Cemetery, Sutton, WV.
